Liverpool confirm loan deal for Welsh international Harry Wilson

Liverpool have today confirmed that academy starlet Harry Wilson has joined League One side Crewe Alexandra on a youth loan, initially until January – as our official website states.

The 18-year-old winger, who won his one and only cap for the Welsh national team back in 2013, is yet to make a senior appearance for Brendan Rodgers’ side – although he did travel with the rest of the squad for our pre-season tour of the Far East.

He signed his first professional contract with us in July 2014 and has since continued to impress with our Under-21 side. He was voted the best forward at an invitational youth tournament – the Otten Cup – earlier this month and recently scored the opening goal during our mini-Merseyside derby draw with Everton.

Wilson has been handed the number 24 shirt at his new club, who are likely to be battling relegation in England’s third tier, and is available to make his senior club debut against Wigan Athletic this coming weekend.

We wish Harry all the best with his loan spell.
