Liverpool left-back Joe Maguire joins League Two side on one-month loan deal

Joe Maguire has joined Leyton Orient on loan and will be aiming to help the London-based side secure promotion from League Two this season. The deal will initially be for a one month period but could be extended.

The Liverpool left-back will be enjoying his first taste of competitive first-team football after impressing with the Reds on our pre-season tour of the Far East – where he acted as understudy to Joe Gomez and Alberto Moreno.

Maguire, a regular for our Under-21 side, is highly rated on Merseyside and will no doubt benefit from a team that have been flying high so far this season – winning four games out of four to top the table at this early stage.

The 19-year-old will provide competition for Orient left-back Frazer Shaw, who has played all their games thus far.

He joins fellow youngsters Sheyi Ojo and Harry Wilson out on loan as our academy side continue to seek out new opportunities for our most promising starlets.

We wish Joe all the very best for the next month.
