Key Liverpool star confirms injury & explains frustration

Club captain Jordan Henderson has confirmed a setback on the foot injury that has kept him out since our clash with Bournemouth, taking to Twitter to reveal his frustration.

The injury suffered initially was a fairly innocuous looking one, and few expected him to be out for too long. It was confirmed that while attempting to push himself back to full fitness however, that the England international had broken his foot in training (via the Daily Mail).

Henderson confirmed just how disappointed and frustrated he was by the injury blow, but insisted he would be fighting hard to get back in action soon.

We have missed our skipper badly, as he’s become a far bigger part of our midfield since the departure of Steven Gerrard. This latest revelation is a huge blow, and we really should be concentrating on getting him fully fat rather than rushing him back.

The Mail’s report suggests the two injuries are unrelated, but it’s always difficult to tell, as one injury can cause you to put more strain on other areas of your body.

We don’t know exactly how long he’s going to be out for, but hopefully he returns to the side sooner rather than later.
