Coutinho among Top 10 biggest shirt-sellers in the world

Posted by

Coutinho has sneaked in to the top 10 biggest shirt sellers based on summer 2015, it’s been revealed by Sky Sports.

Our Brazilian playmaker, who at his best is a sensational creative threat, sold more tops than many world renowned superstars – including Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Angel di Maria and Roberto Lewandowski.

The table shows Coutinho’s rise to football’s top echelons, but also proves just how marketable a talent he is.

Being young, likeable, skilful and Brazilian makes him a playground favourite, and it’s up to Liverpool to now hone his on-field ability and maximise the commercial opportunities he offers.

This doesn’t mean selling him of course, although with five years on his contract, he’d cost any prospective buyer a ludicrous sum of money.

Coutinho has been training this week with new manager Jurgen Klopp, and should be available to start for the German’s first game in charge versus Tottenham at the weekend.
