Christian Benteke has named his ultimate five-a-side team, in which he’s surprisingly not a part of, reports the Mirror.
Eden Hazard, Philippe Coutinho, Kevin De Bruyne, Jack Grealish and Divock Origi make Benteke’s interesting team – that doesn’t actually have a keeper!
He’s plumped for three Belgium team-mates (one of which in Origi plays for Liverpool), former Villa pal Jack Grealish (who looks a little out of place in this IX) and Coutinho!
Benteke returned to Liverpool training yesterday, but hasn’t played since limping out of the Norwich draw on September 20th. That means he’s been absent for a month already, having previously scored twice in his opening six Premier League matches since his blockbuster summer switch.
With Danny Ings out for the season and Daniel Sturridge consistently on the treatment table, new boss Jurgen Klopp badly needs Benteke to be a Merseyside success.
He’s exceptionally powerful and a top finisher as well, but it’s yet to be seen whether he can adapt to Klopp’s all-action counter-pressing style.
