Our young Belgian forward Divock Origi scored his first, second and third goals for Liverpool last night during our 6-1 trouncing of Southampton.
Before yesterday, he’d not shown us what he’s capable of or why Brendan Rodgers and the transfer committee decided to shell out £10m for his services in the first place.
We’d only seen a talented but overly raw striker who was not ready for the first-team. But after our progression into the League Cup semifinals, Klopp has another forward with a realistic expectation of starting at the weekend versus Newcastle.
Saying that, the manager was just as surprised as Liverpool supporters when Origi headed in his hat-trick goal late on!
Check out the German’s reaction here. Superb!
