We don’t really understand why Southampton give Adam Lallana such a hard time. Dejan Lovren probably deserves it for his comments about the club before he left, but Lallana led them into the Premier League, played exceptionally for seven seasons and earned them £25m upon his sale.
But along with Lovren, Lallana was abused ruthlessly by the home support at St. Mary’s last night, although it didn’t notably affect his performance.

Quite audibly, Southampton chanted: ‘Adam Lallana, we f***ing hate you,’ almost every time he picked up the ball.
But as the Liverpool goals continued to go in, the supporters who’d made the long journey south responded in brilliant fashion.
“He’s winning 6-1, he’s winning 6-1… Adam Lallana, he’s winning 6-1!”
