Brendan Rodgers’ return to our screens is in full flow, and for Liverpool – it’s come at a wholly unhelpful time.
The new boss Jurgen Klopp has a number of problems to sort out, but our former manager is telling the world about our old ones. He’s doing so with dignity and respect, but it would have perhaps been best for him to get it out of his system early on, as the club needs to move on.
The Northern Irishman appeared on Goals on Sunday and then last night on Monday Night Football – where he helped analyse Swansea’s win over Watford.
During the interview he praised Ashley Williams, Swansea’s centre-back who scored the winner, claiming he wanted him at Anfield during his time at the club.
Instead though, Liverpool spent huge money on Mamadou Sakho and Dejan Lovren during Rodgers’ stint at the club.
He also discussed the use of wing-backs with Jamie Carragher.
From about 8 minutes in you’ll hear Rodgers discussing Liverpool in depth and it’s really, really worth a watch.
