It’s fair to say right now that there are probably only a handful of Liverpool fans in the entire country who think Simon Mignolet will be our goalkeeper throughout the duration of his hefty five year contract.
He’s made nine mistakes leading to goals this season, costing us 15 points in total. Without those mistakes, we’d be 2nd in the Premier League!
Here’s a collection of tweets that sum up the current situation, in short.

Honestly, if #LFC sold Sturridge and spent the money on a keeper i dont think i’d mind at this point. Mignolet is that bad

All managers have blind sports. This is an easy decision to make. He’s now a danger to the team #Mignolet

If you look at all the top teams, they have world class goalkeepers. We used to have one in Reina, but now we have the average Mignolet! #LFC

Finding it difficult to distinguish between a decent save and a great save. Everything seems a great save after watching Mignolet

Quite unbelievable that we didn’t sign a new keeper in January really. Mignolet is costing us points ever game more a less.
