Liverpool star named PFA Fans’ Players of the Month for January

Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino has been rewarded for his fine recent form by collecting the gong for the PFA Fans’ Players of the Month for January, Sky Sports confirm.

The Brazilian, who endured a slow start since arriving from Hoffenheim for big money in the summer, scored four goals in January in as many games, adding another at the beginning of February against Sunderland as well.

Firmino scored a wonderful brace against Arsenal on January 13th and provided a match winning contribution during our epic 5-4 away win over Norwich – scoring twice and registering an assist to boot.

Firmino has six goals and six assists in all competitions for Liverpool this term, but we expect him to far better those statistics before the season’s out.

The 24-year-old pipped Wayne Rooney and Harry Kane to the award for the first month of 2016.

Firmino is proving a success now he’s settled into life on Merseyside, and Liverpool fans cannot wait for the Brazilian international to link up with Coutinho and Daniel Sturridge – both set to return from injury tonight against West Ham in the FA Cup.
