We were beaten 3-1 on penalties by Manchester City in the League Cup final on Sunday afternoon.
The shootout followed a 1-1 draw after extra time.
We know it’s difficult to keep a positive mindset after such a heartbreaking conclusion, but with a centre-back pairing of Kolo Toure and Lucas Leiva it’s arguably a miracle that we kept City to one goal over the 120 minutes.
In the event, Lucas was probably the best player on our team, while Kolo rolled back the years to keep Aguero and Silva firmly in his back pocket.

Fans on Twitter are upset with the outcome, but pleased with the performance on the whole.
Mignolet came in for special praise, recovering from his error which led to City’s goal to keep us in the tie during extra time.
