Poor Mamadou Sakho…
Our French centre-back started yesterday’s heartbreaking League Cup final defeat to Manchester City, but after 24 minutes he had to leave the field, with Jurgen Klopp and the backroom staff worried that his head collision with Emre Can left him concussed.
The manager confirmed that Sakho eventually understood the decision, but his immediate reaction was that of anger and disappointment.
JK: “At half-time Sakho said it was the right decision [to take him off].” #LFC

Sakho launched a water bottle and then cried underneath a warmup jacket for the rest of the first-half. Hopefully he’ll get plenty more opportunities to play in finals throughout his Liverpool career. We love the 25-year-old, and see this solely as a sign of his passion.
