We produced one of our finest performances of the season this evening, as goals from Daniel Sturridge and Roberto Firmino gave us a 2-0 first leg advantage to take to Old Trafford next week.
It could, and arguably should, have been a lot more. Only another world-class performance from United’s goalkeeper David De Gea kept the Mancs in touch (where would they be without him?). He kept out Coutinho, Sturridge, and Lallana in the first half, and Clyne and Coutinho after the break.

If not for De Gea…. Liverpool would have beaten Manchester United 5:0

Only Rojo, Fellaini, Blind and Schneiderlin had more touches for United than de Gea did.

So happy with the win over united earlier, 2-0 even though it could have been 3/4-0 easily. De Gea is United’s best player by a long shot.

Imagine not thinking that the Reds are winning the league next year. Idiots. They’re clearly winning it.
