And that’s why he’s an out and out fan favourite.
Last night against Manchester United was arguably his best performance in a red (or black in this case) shirt.
The French powerhouse seemed to be everywhere along the back-line. He made risky, but calculated tackles, and every time United delivered something into the box he seemed to be on the end of it getting rid.
Despite Coutinho’s brilliance, Sakho was easily Liverpool’s Man of the Match last night. His partnership with Dejan Lovren at the back is developing excellently.
