Proof Kolo Toure can predict Liverpool’s future

Mamadou Sakho scored his second goal in consecutive starts against Everton last night, which was a surprise to everyone except our ageing sub Kolo Toure!

Sakho hadn’t bagged in 68 appearances before the Dortmund game, but Toure predicted his pal would add another in the Merseyside Derby.

“Kolo told me this morning I would score again so that’s why when I scored I thought of him and ran to celebrate with him,” he told the official website.

“It was a very, very good atmosphere, a very good result for us, and I think we deserved it because we played very well,” he added.

“The 12th player was with us – the fans. It was a really good night for Liverpool.”

The Frenchman was terrific last night, totally dominant in the air, and making one exceptional last ditch tackle on Romelu Lukaku when the score was still 0-0.

Below, you can see Sakho beelining for Toure, who’s a much loved member of the Liverpool squad, after his headed goal.

Expect Klopp to rotate Liverpool’s team again at the weekend, meaning Sakho and Lovren will make way of Toure and one other – perhaps Martin Skrtel – if the Slovakian is fit.
