When Adam Lallana is on song, he’s a wonderful player to watch, and during the first-half of Liverpool v Newcastle, he put on a real show.
The playmaker purred in possession, making countless clever touches, but capped these with a lovely curler on his supposedly weaker foot.
Joe Allen started the move from deep, fed Alberto Moreno who squared to Lallana on the edge of the area. The attacking midfielder casually stuck it into the top corner, earning Liverpool a 2-0 lead.
Lallana needs to add goals and assists to a very cultured overall game, and efforts like this do good in silencing remaining doubters.
