Many Reds were questioning whether vice-captain James Milner should be in the side at the beginning of the season, but now – with a handful of games left – he’s undeniably one of the first names on Jurgen Klopp’s team-sheet.
That’s largely because of his excellent assist record. Milner’s now registered 16 in all competitions, only bettered by Mesut Ozil in the country.
Whether deployed on the flanks or centrally, Milner’s shown an ability to play a clever lay-off or a perfectly weighted cross.
