(Video) Sturridge’s 45 minute cameo makes mockery of non-LFC fans who didn’t want him in England squad

Before the Euros, fans and even some ‘respected’ pundits suggested Roy Hodgson should leave Daniel Sturridge at home.

Yesterday against the Welsh, Sturridge proved why in terms of raw ability, he’s England’s best striker and potentially even our best player.

Coming on at half-time, the Liverpool man injected a directness into attack and a purpose. Beforehand, England were largely lifeless.

He actually fluffed his lines on a few occasions and fired some ambitious efforts over the bar, but he wanted to make things happen.

The 26-year-old’s cross led to our equaliser and his bravery to play the one-two helped him coolly score our winner.

He’s an absolute certainty to start from her on in, for us. Well done Sturridge.
