Teen star signs new Liverpool contract

Kane Lewis has signed his first professional contract with Liverpool, with the young defender impressing Jurgen Klopp enough to warrant a new deal, as reported by Liverpool’s official website.

The versatile teenager has been one of the more impressive players to come through the academy recently, and his ability to play at both centre-back and right-back make him a very appealing player.

Klopp has watched Lewis perform several times, and while the manager looked on the player has certainly impressed (via the Mirror). He appears to have a future more as a full-back than a centre-back, but his positional play, his aerial ability, and his reading of the game are all excellent.

Having arrived from Brentford in 2014 he has been a mainstay in the U18s, and will no doubt be looking to kick on and battle his way into the first team.
