We could wrap up a deal for Croatian wonderkid Ante Coric this week.

Croatian news site TPortal broke the news, claiming we’ve made an offer for the 19-year-old. Klopp reportedly called Coric personally a couple of weeks ago (via Star) to lure him to the club, and it now seems his hard work might pay off.

It is thought we still face a battle to get the deal over the line, with West Ham, Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester City all also keen on the highly-rated teenager.

TPortal go on to write that Jurgen Klopp wants Coric in his squad before we fly to the United States for the International Champions Cup and our pre-season tour, meaning a deal could be completed this week.

The first friendly across the pond is against Chelsea on 28th July. We then play Milan on 31st July and Roma on 2nd August before we fly home for a game against Barcelona at Wembley on 6th August.
