We have no interest in signing Croatian wonderkid, Ante Ćorić.
Rumours had been gathering pace in recent days; last night Croatian news outlet TPortal even went as far as claiming a deal would be done this week.
It seems, however, that the rumours are false.
According to respected and reliable Liverpool Echo journalist James Pearce, there is “no truth” in the speculation.
He tweeted the disappointing news earlier today:
@KaategiKya don’t think there’s anything in that one mate.

It probably shouldn’t come as a surprise; TPortal aren’t exactly a leading name in the world of transfer rumours. Even so, it’s still disappointing for fans who’d hoped we might be on the verge of nabbing one of Europe’s brightest young talents.
Despite the news, we’re clearly on the lookout for a new midfielder – Joe Allen and possibly Lucas Leiva appear to be on the way out, and the Piotr Zielinski saga is still rumbling on and on.
