Sevilla are set to make an official approach for Joe Allen after Sevilla’s sporting director confirmed the club’s interest today.
The Sevilla rumours have been flying around for a couple of weeks, but this the first time that someone connected with the club has gone on record and confirmed them.
“Ganso and Allen aren’t the only players that fit in our plans,” said Monchi (via Echo).
“They are on our list and they comply with the profile that we are searching for.”

He also confirmed his club were speaking with Luis Alberto’s agent:
“We received an offer from Luis Alberto’s agent. We’re assessing it, but we haven’t started talks with Liverpool. He fits in our game style and can be an interesting option for us.”
The Echo write that Sevilla will face competition from Swansea City, Leicester City, Southampton, and Bournemouth in the race for Allen’s signature.
