Ben Woodburn has scored the second goal of the game in tonight’s friendly against Fleetwood Town.

The young Welsh international only came onto the pitch at half-time, but after just ten minutes he was celebrating his first ever senior goal for the club.

Fellow academy star Ryan Kent was the provider, as his cross was tapped home at the far post (via Echo).

Woodburn has been a well-known star in the making among academy staff for the last 12 months. He announced himself in style to the wider fanbase back in January, when his chest-and-lob goal against Cardiff City in the FA Youth Cup was shared thousands of times on social media.

At the start of last season, he didn’t even have a listing on the official site after being fast-tracked from the U16s the U18s when he was just 15. (via Echo)

He has already captained Wales at under-17 level and could get to feature in the first eleven this season.
