Joe Allen has been linked with a move to Scottish side Celtic, and with it, a possible reunification with ex-Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers.

Rodgers famously signed Joe Allen from Swansea when he took over Liverpool in the summer of 2012 in a £15 million deal.

Allen has since gone on to play 129 games and score seven goals during his time in Red, but appears to have fallen out of favour with our new boss Jurgen Klopp, despite a strong second half of last season.

Rodgers signed for Celtic this summer and according to Inside Futbol, he is keen to reunite with the Welsh international for the third time in their careers.

Sevilla and Swansea have also been linked with a move, though with Klopp cryptically suggesting we were looking for a “solution” yesterday, the prospect of a new deal being offered is not completely out of the question.
