Klopp reveals the dates each of Liverpool’s Euro 2016 stars will return

Pre-season is well underway now, but we’re still without a large part of the squad. Jurgen Klopp claims they’ll all be back soon though, revealing the exact dates each player would be returning to Anfield, as reported by the Echo.

The manager claims all players will be back before the first game of our American tour, with the first group returning this Thursday.

The English boys will be the first to return to training, with Daniel Sturridge, Jordan Henderson, James Milner, Adam Lallana, and Nathaniel Clyne all back on the 21st.

The Belgians will be back on the 22nd, with Simon Mignolet, Divock Origi, and Christian Benteke back on Friday.

Everyone will then be back by the 26th, with Joe Allen and Emre Can set to be the last to return.

Klopp spoke about the situation after our 2-0 win over Wigan, delivering the update.

“We’ve had three games, but what is more important is the work between the games and so I am quite happy,” he said.

“But we will even more happy when we go to the USA now and all of the other players join us.

“We’ll have the big group together from the 26th when the last two players Joe Allen and Emre Can will join us.

“From the 21st, all the English players are with us. From the 22nd, all the Belgian players are with us.

“Then we will have a real group together and the work starts again with them and hopefully we can build on the base we’ve done in the first three weeks with the other players.”

What we’ve seen in pre-season so far has been great, but our opposition hasn’t exactly been of the highest calibre. That will change in America, so it will be great to see how the team looks as a whole once everyone’s back.

Unfortunately that means we won’t see as much from some of the promising youngsters who have been impressing recently, but the US games should fantastic regardless.
