Liverpool are on the verge of wrapping up a deal for Georginio Wijnaldum, and our legendary former centre-back Jamie Carragher has summed up the feeling of many supporters.
The Dutchman is entirely versatile, scores goals and can even play as a holding midfielder – which begs the question – how will Jurgen Klopp use him…?
Interested to see where he fits in, CM alongside Can? One of the three behind the striker? What’s his best position?? https://t.co/6Pen74b1dX

Liverpool have plenty of stars capable of playing no.10 (Coutinho, Firmino, Lallana, Mane), which according to Rafa Benitez, is Wijnaldum’s best position – but he turned out most regularly on the left last term – but that spot definitely belongs to Coutinho when the Brazilian’s fit.

Newcastle produced rogue team-sheet to force Liverpool into £25m Wijnaldum bid
For £25m though, you’d have to assume Wijnaldum was being signed as a starter.
Is he disciplined and physical enough to play central in the midfield double-pivot, or would he be used in a 4-3-3, one side of a holding midfielder?
Either way, Wijnaldum provides options, but there’s no indication from Klopp yet as to where he’ll use the 25-year-old.
