Jurgen Klopp has the vast majority of his squad to work with now players who competed at Euro 2016 are joining up with those who didn’t in America.

Four players though are still injured and not training according to James Pearce of the Echo, who’s out there for the duration of the tour.

Joel Matip still has pain in his foot after limping off against Huddersfield, while Mamadou Sakho has an achilles problem and is expected to miss the start of the Premier League season. These two could form our starting centre-back partnership in 2016/17, but they’re not getting any time to develop a relationship this summer.

Joe Gomez was on the verge of coming back following nine months out, but he sadly picked up another injury last week; also an achilles issue like Sakho.

Lucas pulled his hamstring against Huddersfield and the Brazilian is in no condition to train or play. We may not see our longest serving player in a red shirt again, with suggestions (via Daily Mail) Galatasaray have made him a key target before the window closes.
