(Video) Sakho is the new Louis Theroux – Frenchman brilliant as Liverpool documentary maker

If Mamadou Sakho wasn’t a footballer, he could be pretty much anything, we’ve decided.

Our charismatic, super friendly Frenchman made a short film about Liverpool’s trip to Alcatraz, and it’s completely hilarious.

Sakho goes around the squad asking them how long they think they could stay in the prison’s shocking conditions – and there’s some great answers. Coutinho reminds his team-mate that this would be normal in parts of Brazil, Alberto Moreno is more keen on playing Pokemon Go; and the youngsters Ovie Ejaria and Trent Alexander-Arnold seem completely petrified of being on camera!

When the question is turned around on Sakho, Mama replies: “100 years. For I am a lion!”

There’s also a great moment where our centre-back gets lost, and a member of staff cunningly asks, “I thought you never walked alone…?”

Top stuff. Worth five minutes of any Liverpool fan’s time!
