Jurgen Klopp has ended his interest in Leicester City’s young full-back Ben Chilwell.

According to the Echo, our boss “doubted Chilwell’s desire to complete a move to Anfield”. We made a bid of £7 million earlier this month, but the Foxes rejected it.

The paper claims that Klopp’s hardline stance of only wanting players who are 100 percent committed to the club was the same reason that we ended our interest in Gotze; as soon as he said he wanted to wait until after the EUROs to decide his future, the German backed away.

Chilwell is expected to pen a new deal with the reigning Premier League champions in the coming days.
