Liverpool’s tournament starts in the small hours of Thursday morning UK time as they face Chelsea at the famous Rose Bowl stadium.

“It’s a tournament, and if there’s something to win we want to try and win it,” he said. “We have three or four games, so all good and let’s see what we can bring on the pitch.” (via Echo)

Rather, it’s because there won’t be a champion this season.

According to BBC Sport, after the Man Utd vs Man City game in Bejing was cancelled, there will not be enough games in this summer’s competition to declare an overall winner.

What a shambles.

We know the ICC is just an over-hyped and glorified money spinner, but the clubs involved and their fans all deserve better.
