Jordan Henderson has admitted he’s feeling great and is ready to fire on all cylinders during the upcoming season.
Speaking after our 2-0 win against AC Milan at the weekend, Henderson said he was currently feeling better than in a long time.
“I felt good and like I said it’s the best I have felt in a long time coming into a pre-season. I’ve been working hard and I felt good out there, as did a lot of the other lads.” he said (via Echo).
“It was a complete performance. We still want to improve on certain things, maybe score a few goals with the chances we created but overall we are happy with the performance.”

Our captain endured a largely miserable 2015/16 season – a heel injury and a broken bone in his foot kept him out of action for three months before Christmas before a knee issue ended his season earlier. Despite working hard to get back, he could only make the bench for the Europa League final.
As a result of his lack of football, he was reduced to a bit-part role for England in the Euros.
