Liverpool want to sign Italian full-back Mattia De Sciglio for around £17 million.

According to reports in Gazzetta Di Parma, Klopp would “love” to bring the 23-year-old De Sciglio to Anfield.

The AC Milan defender, who is naturally right-footed but frequently been deployed at left-back, is a product of the Italian side’s youth academy.

He has made 104 appearances in Serie A since making his senior debut back in 2011.

He has also won 26 caps for Italy and went with the squad to Euro 2016. Italy lost on penalties to Germany in the quarter-finals.

We’ve already signed both Joel Matip and Ragnar Klavan this summer, meaning the pacey full-back would become the third defender to join as Klopp looks to shore up what has been a leaky back four in recent seasons.
