Liverpool U23s have just beaten MK Dons 3-1 in their final game of the pre-season.

We took the lead inside the first five minutes as Harry Wilson finished off a move that involved both Ben Woodburn and Toni Gomes.

The latter two were both in the U18s last term, but are expected to make the jump up to the higher age group this season.

The second came on the stroke of half-time as Gomes turned from provider to scorer when he smashed the ball into the corner from the edge of the area.

The U23 season starts on 14th August when the play Southampton at Tranmere Rover’s Prenton Park.
