Chievo are the latest club to be linked with a move for our out-of-favour striker, Mario Balotelli.

Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport have claimed that his agent, Mino Raiola, had dinner with Chievo president Luca Campedelli last Friday. The main topic of conversation was supposedly a potential transfer.

The two men are good friends and have known each other for more than a decade.

Balotelli has only scored two league goals in the last two league seasons, but the article claims Chievo are confident they can help him get his career back on track.

The Italian was not included in our recent tour of the USA and has been training with the under 21s for most of the summer since returning from his loan spell at AC Milan.
