In recent weeks, Turkish giants Besiktas have been linked with both Christian Benteke and Mario Balotelli.

Arsenal vs Liverpool referee named
The deal for Benteke, in particular, has stalled due to our asking price. We reportedly won’t accept a penny less than the £32.5 million that we paid for the Belgian last summer, and the Turkish side’s president has baulked at the figure.
Here’s what some fans have been saying about the situation on social media:
The Besiktas President is keeping a good eye on Benteke, shame they don’t want Balotelli as well

In principle, fully behind JK’s reign ushering in a new era where #LFC sell well. I just don’t think anyone bids more than £25m for Benteke…

#lfc need to sell Benteke and Balotelli and buy a new first team striker. Sturridge is not reliable with injuries, ings isnt a top striker

Feels like the general interest in Balotelli is bigger now then when we’ve tried to sell him before. Can only be a positive indication. #lfc

Sell Benteke, Balotelli and Markovic and then bring in a starting left back and a defensive midfielder to partner Can and I’ll be happy #LFC
