Lucas Leiva’s agent has reportedly been contacted by representatives of Serie A side Sampdoria.
According to gianlucadimarzio.com, the historic side are desperate for some midfield reinforcements.
The article reports that the deal is proving difficult to complete, both because of Lucas’ high wage demands and due to the number of clubs that are interested in signing him.
It was reported last week that Klopp is still to finalise his decision on the Brazilian’s future – he sees the 29-year-old as an excellent option to cover the defence, especially in light of our ongoing injury problems at the back – but he also knows he cannot offer the player the amount of first-team that he wants over the course of the whole season.
