Liverpool, Klopp & Sky Germany sign exciting collaborative deal

Sky Sports Germany have signed a deal with Liverpool Football Club and Jurgen Klopp to show all of our domestic matches this upcoming season.

That includes Premier League, FA Cup and League Cup fixtures.

As part of the contract, Klopp will also give the TV giants an insight into the way he works, give lengthy exclusive interviews and act as a brand ambassador.

Roman Steuer, Executive Vice President Sports of Sky Germany: “The high-class duels between Dortmund and Liverpool in last season’s UEFA Europa League have clearly shown how interested the football fans in Germany are for Jürgen Klopp and Liverpool. Cooperation enables us to be very close to Jürgen Klopp and the traditional club turn.”

Sky also described Liverpool as England’s biggest club.

“No other club embodies the English football as much as the Liverpool FC – and no other coach symbolises the emotions and fascination of football as much as the coach Jürgen Klopp,” they concluded.

This is mighty interesting stuff, and could encourage plenty other Germans football fans to associate themselves with Liverpool.

Klopp’s a huge name in his homeland, and many supporters of Borussia Dortmund have followed his fortunes since he moved to Merseyside, but this latest deal will only see our appeal in Germany grow.

We’re also a little jealous, as it’d be mighty handy if every Liverpool match was on one channel… Instead, we have to juggle between Sky, BT, terrestrial channels when not heading to a game!
