Mario Balotelli is reportedly keen on a move to Italian provincial side Chievo, but his wage demands are proving to be a stumbling block.
According to a report in La Gazzetta Dello Sport today, the unwanted striker has told friends that he’s happy to make a move to the small Serie A outfit, but it seems that his wages demands are beyond Chievo’s financial scope.
He’s endured a miserable two years in his career, scoring just one league goal for us in the 2014/15 season, and one league goal for AC Milan in the following campaign.
He’s been linked with a phenomenal number of clubs since his loan spell in Milan ended, but as yet, nothing has even come close to being finalised.
And so here we are – it’s almost exactly three weeks until the end of the transfer window, and Mario still can’t find a club that he’s either a) happy with, or b) can afford him.
