Loris Karius has returned to training as he steps up his recovery from a broken hand.
The new signing suffered the injury in our pre-season game against Chelsea and was ruled out for two months.
However, he is now back in the gym and beginning his comeback – according to a post on his Instagram page.
The post includes a video of him doing weight work, along with a caption that reads “Well, any good comeback needs countless gym hours first.”
Karius injury gave Mignolet one final reprieve in the first team and he performed well in the season opener against Arsenal at the weekend; none of the three goals conceded were his fault.
It means the £5 million signing might face a fight to get into the team when he returns.
There has been no official return date issued by the club.
