Our U23 side have continued with their miserable start to the new season after losing 4-1 to Chelsea on Monday.
It means we’ve now lost both of our first two league games 4-1 after going down by the same score to Southampton a week ago (via official site).
Amazingly, the game was still tied at 0-0 with half an hour remaining. Josimar Quintero put the hosts ahead but Harry Wilson fired home the equaliser with a wonderful curling effort less than a minute later.

Mason Mount put Chelsea back in front in the 66th minute and could have made it 3-1 mere seconds later, but saw his penalty saved by Liverpool keeper Kamil Grabara.
It was 3-1 in the 72nd minute as Grabara spilled a tame shot straight into the path of Dujon Sterling, and Ike Ugbo prodded home a fourth in injury time.
LIVERPOOL U23s: Grabara, Lewis (Hart), Maguire, Williams, Whelan, Virtue (Kane), A Phillips, Brannagan, Woodburn, Wilson, Lennon (T Gomes). Subs: Firth, N Phillips.
