Klopp vows that no European football doesn’t mean players won’t get chances

One of the defining points of last season was Klopp’s willingness to blood youngsters.

The likes of Kevin Stewart, Brad Smith, Connor Randall, Cameron Branagan, and Sheyi Ojo were all given lengthy spells in the first team as we played an eye-watering 63 games across four competitions.

With no European football this season, our total number of games will be significantly lower, but Klopp says people will still be given chances.

“It’s not about who can play when. It’s the moment where we want to be successful and we need to be successful and we need to get the feeling that our plan works on the pitch and that we really can get results.

“I think we have a pretty young squad. We don’t have Europe but we hopefully we have all the cups so there are enough games for everybody,” he said (via Echo).

Liverpool predicted XI vs Burton

We play Burton Albion on Tuesday, and we’re sure to see some the fringe players, and players who’ve been lacking match fitness, get their chance in the side.

“What I can say to any player is that what always happens is: if you stay in the race and work really hard, then you will get the benefit. That is how it is. You will always get the benefit of that,” continued the boss.

Who would you play against Burton? Let us know in the comments.
