Sadio Mane was electric against Arsenal on competitive debut, but he was absolutely brilliant away to Burton Albion last night.
The former Southampton man consistently caused carnage with his pace and direct running, but showed class to assist two of our five goals as well. He played a part in two of the others as well, and despite not scoring – deservedly earned the Man of the Match award.
We didn’t properly replace Raheem Sterling when we sold him to Manchester City last summer, but Mane provides the speed of the Englishman but far more culture in and around the penalty area.
At 24, Mane has his best years ahead of him as well – and we can’t wait to see his development on Merseyside.
Check out his outrageous performance against Burton, below.
