Sakho’s Instagram post seems like clear message to Liverpool fans

Does that seem like language a disheartened Liverpool player would be using? Not for us. But Mamadou Sakho has been unequivocally put up for loan by Jurgen Klopp, having been sent home from Liverpool’s Tour of America in the summer.

Stoke City are potential suitors and could tie up a temporary deal for the Frenchman in the next week (via Telegraph), but this post shows us Sakho would prefer to stay with Liverpool – and that he wants the fans to know that.

It’s not so much an open complaint against the manager and club hierarchy, but more a sign to supporters that he wants to work, fight and resurrect his Anfield career.

Whether this proves possible after a likely loan spell is anyone’s guess, but history shows that when a seasoned, highly paid international leaves a club on loan – he rarely returns.

We’ll know his future in a week, but regardless of what’s gone on – we can’t help but feel sorry for Mama.

Remember before his incorrect doping ban he was our best defender. That event seems like the butterfly flap that caused this tsunami.
