Sakho turns down yet another club; this time foreign – as time runs out for Mama & Liverpool

Mamadou Sakho turned down the advances of Stoke City (via ESPN), he wasn’t interested in West Brom either (via BBC), and now he’s rejected a loan move to Turkish outfit Besiktas too…

With less than 12 hours of the transfer window remaining, it’s looking like the Frenchman might be stuck on the sidelines for an entire campaign, with Liverpool telling the 26-year-old he won’t be used this term unless he goes out on loan and proves his fitness and professionalism.

Paul Joyce of the Express made the claim regarding Besiktas this morning, meaning Sunderland are the only potential suitor left Sakho hasn’t actively rejected.

A source told EOTK yesterday that Sakho would move to Sunderland today, but as of yet – the move hasn’t materialised and there’s suggestions that the player will dig his heels in, even though he’s been told by Jurgen Klopp that he has no immediate future at the club.

We’d advise Sakho to stop being so stubborn and accept a temporary switch. We’d prefer he stayed at the club, but Klopp isn’t going to change his mind on a whim and the pair’s relationship has clearly deteriorated to an unmanageable position.
