Liverpool forced to make special arrangements for Coutinho ahead of Leicester clash

Liverpool are making special arrangements for Philippe Coutinho as the Brazilian prepares to return from international duty in South America.

The midfield magician had the longest trip out of all the players who were called up to their respective national sides this week, as he traveled to Quito in Ecuador on Friday and will then head into the Brazilian Amazon for another game in Manaus against Colombia on Tuesday.

He came on as a second half sub in Ecuador and his performance means he could well start the next game, according to the Echo.

Kickoff on is actually at 1:45am on Wednesday in the UK, and he will face a 5,000 mile trip back to Liverpool.

Ordinarily, he wouldn’t have arrived until Thursday night UK time, but we’ve made plans to get him back for Thursday morning to give him more time to recover.

He will still have hardly any time to train ahead of the Leicester game.

“For Coutinho, he is coming back Thursday morning at 9am and only because we make a few special arrangements with flights otherwise he would come Thursday night so nobody wants this,” said Klopp.

“It’s not the best moment in the season for splitting the squad again.”
