Mino Raiola, what’s your problem?
Mario Balotelli’s agent has once again hit out at Jurgen Klopp over our boss’ treatment of the striker.
Why do Mario and Mino seem so intent on continuing this verbal war of words? You would think that they would both be focused on making sure the Italian forward is a success at his new club, Nice.
But alas, no — it seems they would both prefer to continue a media charade with them at the centre of attention.
“At the end of the day he [Balotelli] was a player of Liverpool and you need to treat him with respect,” said Raiola on TalkSport live radio (cited on Mirror). “And he didn’t do that, because several times Mario asked to have a friendly match, to have training. At the end of the day you need 90 minutes, you need to play a little bit.”
“He never considered him for 60 days. Never let him play for 90 minutes. I’m not judging him as a trainer, but you have to let him play.”
We’ll be honest; we really didn’t have anything against Mario during his time at the club. Clearly he didn’t do what was expected of him and we were right to sell him, but he mostly kept himself out of the headlines.
However, we’ve lost any respect we had for him. He’s no El Hadji Diouf – but he is not far off.
