And last night, Jamie Carragher won the feud hands down with a cutting remark about the Italian’s switch to Ligue 1 – wishing Balotelli luck with his attempts to win the Ballon d’Or!
There was once a point when Balotelli was touted as a future winner of the gong awarded to the world’s best player, but having been transferred this summer on a free, despite having years on his contract, he’s about as far away from that as you could imagine.
If he has any sense now, he’ll get his head down and try to better the tally of one league goal he’s managed in his past two seasons.
