Liverpool’s Player of the Month for August, at the first time of asking, is Sadio Mane!
The club announced the news via Twitter today, along with a snap of our new signing clearly taking the award in his stride…

In his three competitive games, Mane has provided Liverpool with pace and dynamism in attack. He scored a Goal of the Season contender on debut verses Arsenal, was terrific away to Spurs – and ripped Burton Albion apart in the EFL Cup.
So impressive has he been, fans are already stating his £30m transfer fee as a bargain, and those who questioned his arrivals have tails firmly between legs.
Mane is a certainty to start on the right wing against Leicester City on Saturday, with the Senegalese international declaring himself 100% fit after picking up a knock during his country’s AFCOn qualifier at the weekend.
Hopefully, he can keep up his incredibly high levels of performance and aid Liverpool climbing quickly up the league in the coming weeks.
