Klopp dismisses criticism over summer transfer spending

Unless you’ve been living under a rock all summer, you’ll know that we raised a few eyebrows as we made a profit in what was a record-breaking summer of spending for the league as a whole.

Of course, there is a good reason for that — deadwood.

It’s not Klopp’s fault that so much money had been wasted in season’s gone by (Luis Alberto? Christian Benteke? Mario Balotelli?) or that we’ll have so many fewer games this season.

Let’s not forget, we also spent a lot of money on seven new players.

Some fans have still been criticising Klopp and the club however, but the German has dismissed their protests tonight.

“To be honest, I’m not interested in expectations and opinions from outside,” he said.

“We did our job and we all think we did it really good. Now we have to prove it.” (Echo)

The bottom line is we are not owned by a mega-rich benefactor and Klopp wants to do it his way. Let’s support him and the club, supporting them will be a much more enjoyable experience.
