We will play our first home game in the new Main Stand on Saturday evening as we fittingly welcome Premier League champions Leicester City to Anfield.
There will be 8,500 more fans crammed into the famous old ground, and the whole day promises to be a special occasion.
Images of the new construction have been circulating online after it was officially opened today, and the response from fans has been one of overwhelming delight.

My main question about the main stand is can I drive down Anfield road yet?

Like I said, increase Anfield to 76,000 one day then brilliant. I just don’t get this over excitement about a “new main stand”. #LFC
